After being introduced to your tour guide, we depart during the evening and take the Eurotunnel or ferry to Calais, France. We travel overnight by a modern executive coach with reclining seats and WC facilities.
Before our arrival to Amsterdam we have an early stop at a service station where you can grab a coffee while freshening up for an amazing day in this beautiful city.
We start our tour with a walk down Damrak and onto Dam Square where we learn about this city's fascinating history and see it's famous buildings and monuments before continuing to the famous floating-flower-market. We take a break for about an hour for you to have a proper breakfast in one of the many restaurants offering authentic Dutch pancakes or a 'full English' menu. You are then invited to continue the tour to visit places such as the IAMSTERDAM sign and Museumplein - this is where you will find the Van Gogh and Rijks museums to enjoy or go shopping at your leisure.
In the afternoon we offer an optional Canal Cruise tour where you can relax while listening to an audio-tour on the boat which lasts for approximately one hour.
In the evening we do a short walking tour of the red-light district before taking a coach transfer to the hotel where we will check in and relax. The hotel has 24 hour access with public transport to the center.
After a continental buffet breakfast we start our optional tour to Zaanse Schans, its a dutch village and you will have the opportunity to watch a clog making demonstration and taste authentic dutch cheeses. We depart Amsterdam mid-day and head towards Bruges, a historic medieval city in north Belgium. We explore this city with a walking tour before giving you enough time to go chocolate shopping or perhaps enjoy some local cuisines or famous beers!
We depart Bruges in the early evening and return back the UK in the late evening. Approximate times are shown on your tickets.
We visit the spectacular windmill village of Zaanse Schans with its characteristic green wooden houses. You can take a selfie with a windmill, see a wooden clog maker in action, and visit a cheese factory...includes free cheese tasting.
Without a doubt, the most beautiful way of exploring the historic city of Amsterdam is from the water, cruising through the historical canals and marvelling at the beautiful canal houses and their richly decorated facades. 1 hour guided tour with commentary.
